Some of the factors Intended Parents and surrogate mothers and spouse need to consider when deciding upon assisted reproduction, include:

• Financial responsibility for surrogate and birthing expenses, including medical and legal expenses related to the surrogacy arrangement.
• Declaration of support for the child / children born of assisted reproduction.
• Authorization for medical information, including psychological and physiological information.
• Consent to medical and psychological assessment of surrogate.
• Storing or disposing of frozen embryos if all are not used.
• Thorough and explicit documentation regarding the intentions of all parties.
• Maintain records of all medical and legal transactions for possible later disputes.
• Establish that Connecticut Law will govern the contract.
